Not working on a holy day? A religious liberty or not

In the United States of America, any type of religious qualification is prohibited for an office position. Freedom or Liberty of religion is declared by the constitution of the United States of America. No organization can go against or violate these rules.

However, because of religion, employees face some common issues in the offices where they work. Not working on a holiday is one of the most common issues for most people in the work place.

Every religion has its holy or religious days. There are times when workers are unable to report to work because of a religious holy day (according to their religion). Many times employers will fire workers, for not working on a religious Holy Day. However, this is a clear violation of the freedom of religion as declared by the constitution of the United States. Employers cannot fire or relieve their workers just because they refuse to work on a religious day.

For example, Muslims rather not work during jumu'ah (The Friday Prayer). Jewish prefer not to work on the Shabbat, which is considered the day of rest in their religion. Christians also have a Sabbath, which is the day of rest.
